Digital Accessibility Campus Inclusion

IAAP’s 2020 Higher Education Webinar Series

OSU will be hosting this monthly series of webinars  for university faculty, staff and students needing to learn more about inclusion through digital accessibility.   The webinars will be free, hosted by our local teams. More details on locations and how to RSVP will be forthcoming.  Save the dated for the sessions that will be useful to you.  Questions can be directed to ADA-OSU@osu.edu

Join us for an opportunity to learn from national and international subject matter experts focusing on digital accessibility for inclusion.

From January through June you will be able to attend a 90-minute webinar covering six different aspects of digital inclusion.  Each webinar will be interactive with opportunities to pose questions and then archived for future viewing. Presenters also have guest speakers to offer shared experiences and examples.

Like other universities the creation and dissemination of knowledge that is central to our mission is increasingly reliant on digital delivery and support making higher education particularly sensitive to the growing legal, social and ethical pressure to make our campuses accessible. This series provides a place to learn from experts, other colleges, and  each other.

Around eleven percent of all college and university students in just the U.S. alone, have disabilities which adds up to more than 2.25 million students. This number does not include the staff, faculty, and visitors who rely on access.

This series will pin-point lessons learned, best practices, tools, and resources that, if incorporated, could help elevate campus inclusion.
