Jenny Patton, Senior Lecturer, teaches professional writing classes into which she incorporates her experience as a reporter, copywriter, technical writer and editor. She holds a BA in English from Tulane University and an MFA from Ohio State University in addition to a wellness coach certification from the Mayo Clinic. She has received the English Undergraduate Organization Associated Faculty Member of the Year Award, the Award for Outstanding Faculty Program for Enhancing Student Wellness and the President and Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. Her work has been published in literary journals and nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and her essay “A Different Direction” was cited as Notable in Best American Essays 2016.
