Dr. Anne Ralph grew up just outside Columbus, and after living in several other states during her education and the first part of her legal career, she is pleased to return home to Ohio State. Dr. Ralph teaches legal skills courses, including first-year legal analysis and writing, advanced legal writing, and pretrial litigation.
Serving as a mentor through the University Institute for Teaching and Learning this year has been a wonderful opportunity for Dr. Ralph to speak with newer teachers about work at Ohio State. It has created space for her to reflect on her own teaching practices and goals as a teacher. Both Dr. Ralph and her mentees have found the book Teach Students How to Learn, by Saundra Yancey McGuire, to be thought-provoking.
