Engaging Students through Online Collaboration

Student-to-student interaction is essential for successful courses. But it’s easy to get stuck in a discussion board rut in online courses, and we don’t always have time to let students collaborate during class. This session will spark your creativity for other ways to get students interacting through collaborative learning in online spaces. By understanding the elements of collaboration that drive learning, you’ll identify opportunities in your own courses, create a collaborative activity and begin using CarmenCanvas (and other) tools that support student collaboration.

This is a BYOD (bring-your-own-device) event—please bring your laptop or tablet.
