Andrew Cruse is an associate professor of architecture at Ohio State University and a registered architect. His academic work focuses on the evolution of human comfort and its impact on architectural design and energy use. In 2020, he was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney, in Australia. He has presented his work in many academic settings including most recently the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, the International Congress of Construction History, and the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.

 

Prior to joining the faculty at Ohio State, Cruse taught at Washington University in St. Louis. From 2000-2010 he was an Associate at Machado and Silvetti in Boston. Cruse is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB), and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He has a BA in Art History from Columbia University and an M.Arch from Rice University.
