A new project, partially funded by the Drake Institute's SoTL and DBER Research & Implementation Grant program, is offering free one-hour financial planning sessions to students this fall.
The service-learning project, offered by the College of Education and Human Ecology's Department of Human Sciences, pairs financial planning students at Ohio State, Franklin University and Columbus State with local financial advisors to assist students with financial planning topics, both large and small.

To support these efforts, the Institute sponsors the SoTL and DBER Learning Community This initiative offers faculty and staff an extended opportunity to learn about and undertake a project in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and/or Discipline-Based Education Research. It provides professional instructors the opportunity to establish collegial relationships across disciplines and reinforces a faculty culture that brings together the scholarship, research, and practice of teaching and learning.
