Stephanie Rohdieck, Associate Director of the University Institute for Teaching and Learning, recently received a 2019 Distinguished Staff Award.
For 20 years, Stephanie served the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching, which recently merged with UITL. Beginning as a Program Assistant, she went on to become a Program Coordinator, Instructional Consultant, and Assistant Director, before her most recent promotion to Associate Director.

The University Institute for Teaching and Learning’s Internal Advisory Committee met on Tuesday, April 16, to review institute activities this academic year. UITL Director Kay Halasek’s presentation, “Looking Back, Looking Forward,” outlined the most significant accomplishments of the institute in the area of its four pillars: Instructional Support, Inquiry and Research, Policy, and Communications.

For the fourth year, Ohio State is conducting a climate survey of all students. Faculty and staff are encouraged to be aware and supportive of students in completing the survey. Information collected will allow the university to inform and further enhance Buckeyes ACT, Ohio State’s comprehensive plan to combat sexual misconduct. The University Institute for Teaching and Learning held a New Faculty Spring Welcome on Friday, Jan. 11, at Thompson Library. Nearly 50 instructors attended the event, as well as over a dozen faculty mentors.
